IMMEDIATE SUCCESS LISTS OPEN ONE MINUTE. (British Official Wireless.) EUGBY, August 2. The stock markets opened quietly today with British funds firmer following the success of the Canadian loan. The Canadian loan met with immediate success, and the subscription lists were closed within one minute of the opening. It is assumed that the total was subscribed several times over, and the city anticipates that the dealings in the scrip will open at a premium. Mr E. B. Bennett, who is on holiday at Harrogate, said that the immediate success of the loan was a further striking evidence of the solidarity of the Empire people.
