(From Our Own Correspondent.) LAWRENCE, June 20. HOCKEY. A match played between the Lawrence Ladies’ Hockey Chib and Beaumont Ladies’ Club on the local ground yesterday resulted in a win for Lawrence by 4 goals to 1. * TENDER FOR CARTING. The Works Committee of the Borough Council has accepted the tender of Mr J. H. G. Jones (Waitahuna), of Is lOd per yard, including royalty 2g 4d, for the cartage of 1000 cubic yards of gravel for, the main highway through the borough.
