PALMERSTON NOTES
(From'’Our Own Correspondent.) PALMERSTON, June 20. YOUNG FARMERS’ CLUB. A meeting was held at Dunhack last night to consider the question of opening a young farmers’ club in that town. Mr J. E. Davies, instructor Of agriculture, and organising secretary of the OtagoSouthland Agricultural' Clubs’ Association, was in attendance, and, after discussion, it was decided to open a club on Monday night next. PERSONAL. Constable G. W. Kirk, who has been stationed in Palmerston as relieving constable, has returned to Dunedin, his place being taken by Constable J. Patterson, also of that city. CARD PLAYING. An enjoyable and well-attended card evening was hold in the bowling pavilion last night. The ladies’ prize was won by Mrs 0. Pennicuick, and the gents by Mr W. J. A. M’Kenney, jun. The consolation prizes went to Mrs B. E. Hamilton and Dir D. Spence. RUGBY FOOTBALL.
