THE YANGTSE RISING
HANKOW CONSIDERED SAFE OTHER AREAS IN DANGER. SHANGHAI, June IT. (Received June 18, at 6.30 p.m.) The Yangtze waters are two feet higher than at the same date in 1931. It is believed that Hankow is unlikely to be flooded, though fears are expressed as to the safety of other areas with the flood season some weeks longer to run. It is feared that the dykes built in connection with relief works will not stand a further rise.
