At the inviation of the Hope of Dunedin Tent, the Otago Provincial Council installed the officers of that tent together with the officers of Sobriety and Star of the South Tents at a combined meeting held in the Embassy Salon, Moray place, on Monday evening. C.R. Sis. E. Parkinson opened the tent and welcomed Prov. C.R. Bros. J. Rhodes and other members of the Provincial Council who, in turn, received officers and members of the Sobriety and Star of the South Tents. Superintendent Sis. M. Rea and Assistant Superintendent Sis. E. Hollow, accompanied by the officers of the Crystal Spring Jiiveline Tent were then received and gave a demonstration of the conducting of a juvenile meeting, including an initiation ceremony. The team consisted of C.R. Bro. Jack Ferguson, D.R. Sis. Pat. Robertson, P.C.R. Sis Winnie Gerrie, Sec. Sis. Betty Milne, Levite Bro. Lindsay Gerrie, Assistant Levite Sis. Betty Brown, Guard Bro. Leslie Milne. Prov. Sec. Bro. A. T. M'lndoe presented the Martin Cup to the winners of the recent initiation competition. C.R. Sis. W. Russell accepted the trophy on behalf of the Sobriety Tent, which was the successful competitor for two years in succession. At, the conclusion of an address by District Guardian Bro. A. V. Edna Todd rendered a pianoforte solo. The meeting of Sobriety Tent was held on June 5, and was opened by the chief ruler, Sis. W. Russell. There was a full attendance of officers and a large number of members. Nominations were received for officers for the ensuing halfyear. During the evening D.R. Bro. L. Chisholm presented to Sis. Edwards and Bro. A. Johnston the prizes for the scallywag competition last meeting. The meeting of the Star of-the South Tent was held on June 7, C.R. Sis. H. M. Campbell presiding. A communication was received from the secretary of the U.F.S. Council notifying members that the annual church parade would be held on August 6 in St. Matthew's Church. Sis, M. Rea, representative to the Otago Provincial Council, gave a comprehensive report on the business transacted at the June meeting of the council, while the tent represenative to the U.F.S. Dispensary Board, Bro. P. Nixon, reported on a recent meeting of that body, giving full particulars with reference to the proposed free blood-transfusion service. The juvenile superintendent, Bro. W. R. Olse'n, announced that the Rising Star Juvenile Tent had been successful in winning the annual efficiency competition for the Martin Cup, and that this cup would be presented at a combined juvenlie function on July 5. Bro. A. Stanley, having resigned from the office of guardian, Sis. A. Christeson was nominated and elected to this position. Sis. J. M'Laren consented to act as official tent pianist and was elected unanimously. Before closing the meeting, the C.R. thanked the officers for their support and co-operation during her term of office, and trusted that the incoming C.R. would receive similar support.
