ST. CLAIR CLUB. Favourable winter conditions drew a large entry in the Bogey Handicap on Saturday when the course and greens were in excellent order. E. H. Beveridge and A. Jefferson 2 down, S. Roberts 3 down, S. Sparrow, L. Booth, M. Wilkinson, E. Ridley and A. Dawson 4 down. In the semi-final of the Senior Championship E. Lucas beat F. Haigh 3 and 1, and G. Kemp beat A. Davie .5 and 3. In the semi-final of the Junior Championship F. Kennedy beat O. Cooke, 4 and 3. There is still a game to be played between R. Jones and D. Mackay. (Received June 18, at 6.30 p.m.) The New South Wales Amateur Golf Championship has been opened. Notable absentees are Bettington and Whitton. J. Ferrier, who was regarded as the strongest contender, was beaten by G. R. Smith, 2 and 1. H. W. Hatterslcy narrowly escaped, beating G. Capel only at the last green 1 up. "DUNLOP" WINS IN N.Z.
