The final event of the South Island Championship Dog Trials was decided on Saturday, the result being as under:— HUNTAWAY, WITH SLEW. C. M'Erlane's Romp 168 J points .. 1 J. M'Chesney's Glen. 159 points .... 2 W. Monk's Sweet Junior, 144 points 3 R. Anderson's Glen, 140 points .... 4 J. M'Auley'e Storm, 133$ points .... 5 A. T. Miller's Syd, 129 J points .... 6 Twenty-nine dogs competed in the event,
