HIBERNIAN SOCIAL AND DEBATING CLUB
The Hibernian Social and Debating Club's rooms were well filled on Thursday evening on the occasion of an interclub billiard and snooker tournament, when representatives of the club met representatives of St. Patrick's Social Club, of South Dunedin. In the absence of the club president and vice-president, Mr A. Gillick extended a hearty welcome to the visitors, and .Mr W. A. Fox responded on behalf of St. Patricks Club. The following are the scores (Hibernian Club names first) :-4 ._ Billiards.—G. Gibb 100, G. Walsh 82; F. Dawson 100, J. White 73; R. Fraser 100, R. Phelan 59. Totals: Hiberian Club 300. St.' Patrick's Club 214. Snooker.—G. Carroll and W. E. Dawkiii< 36, W. Walker and T. Tracey 50; P. M'Alevey and J. J. Lauren 38. N. Flaherty and C. Southern 23. Totals: Hibernian Club 74, St. Patrick's Club 73.
