SATURDAY'S MATCHES TECHNICAL OLD BOYS v. UNIVERSITY B Technical College Old Boys met University B on Oval No. 2, which was in fair condition. From the bully University attacked, but good defence by Harris kept them from scoring. After up-and-down play University again attacked, Veitcii conceding a corner, from which Johnson scored with a shot that gave the goalie no chance. Technical then attacked, and Grant scored a good goal. Half time came with the score l-all. On resuming Technical took play into University's twenty-five, and from a strong forward attack Grant scored. Up-and-down plav followed until Grant again scored. Technical held the advantage, spasmodic attacks by University being well repulsed by Harris. The final whistle went with the score: — Technical 3 goals. University B 1 goal. Messrs H. and C. University attacked from the bully, and in the first few minutes Walton, after a fine run down the right-wing, centred hard to Cawkwell, ™o stopped well, to score a neat goal. Momona attacked from' the initial bul;y against University, but the .passing went astray; and University returned to Momona territory, good defensive play breaking up the attack. The game was fast and interesting. Each side took turns on the attack, the Blue rearguard stopping well. From a good centre, Miss Graham scored for University. Momona came away in a good burst; the forwards -were temporarily held up, but from a good centre Miss Johnson just failed to clear Miss Barnes's shot, and the scores were even.. The half-time score was 2 all, and in.tlie second half Momona gave the Blue defence atmsy time. University s forwards found'the Momona backs sound, and were repeatedly held up. Miller was referee. TECHNICAL O.G. v. DUNEDIN. Technical Old Girls met Duhedin on Logan Park No. 2. From the bully-off Technical were on attack, only to" be sent back by Miss Murtagh. Both teams were spoiling their play with obstruction. Miss Lee made a nice break-away on the right wing, but her,centre went astray. The Technical left-wing put in a nice centre for their centre-forward to score. A nice passing movement ended in Miss Mehalski scoring. The second half was very ragged, with both teams playing a spoiling game, both goal-keepers being kept busy, but a lot of shots were badly directed. The game ended : .Technical Old Girls .. 1 goal. Dunedin .. .... .. 1 goal. Mr T. Bradshaw was referee. OTAGO v. HIGH SCHOOL. Otago had all the better of the first spell in the game against Girls' High School, but the forward line lacked sting, anJ found the School defence very strong. The School halves were not tackling well, and their forwards were held up by good Otago tackling. Otago led by 2 to nil at half : time; but in the second spell the School improved and repeatedly invaded Otago territory. The defence was too strong, and the forward line missed chance*.
