PREMIERS’ CONFERENCE THE FINAL SESSION. ' ( ■ MELBOURNE, June 15. The Premiers’ Conference has ended. The final cession agreed that a conference be held for the suppression of starting-price betting. STATE LOTTERY PROFITS HUGE GRANT FOR HOSPITALS. SYDNEY, June 15. (Received June 15, at 10 p.m.) The Minister of Health (Mr Weaver) announced to-day that the Government would probably be able this year to allocate £700,000 to hospitals from the State lottery profits. MUTTON AND LAMB PRICES HIGHEST FOR TWO YEARS. SYDNEY, June 15. (Received June 15, at 10 p.m.) Reports arriving here show that the market prices for mutton, lamb, and sheep in Australia are the highest for two years. They appear likely to go much higher. FIRE IN TIMBER YARD EXTENSIVE DAMAGE CAUSED. PERTH, June 15. (Received June 15, at 11.35 p.m.) Fire gutted the major portion of the large timber yard of Dunning Bros, 'at West Perth. The . flames rose 200 fest high and consumed a valuable planing mill and a sawmill. The damage is estimated at £20,000.
