CHESS
STATE CHAMPIONSHIP WON BY CRAKANTHORP. SYDNEY, June 15. S. Crakanthorp with nine wins out of A possible 10 won the New South Wales Chess Championship. C. Purdy with seven wins was second. Crakanthorp has held the title on many occasions. He has also twice won the Australian title.
