TRAFFIC IN OPIUM
A CHINESE FINED (Per United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, December 14. A Chinese market gardener, Wei Chung, aged 31, was fined £4O in the Magistrate’s Court to-day for being in possession of utensils for use in smoking opium. The evidence was that many Chinese visited the defendant’s house for the smoking of opium.
