West Harbour Lodge held its fortnightly meeting in the Druids' Hall, Ravensbourne. A.D. Bro. Baird presided over a good attendance of members. The business was dealt with in good time, after which two lady candidates were initiated into the mysteries of Druidism. D.P. Bro. Dove paid an official visit, receiving a hearty welcome from the officers and members. ( The members congratulated Bro. T. Johnston on winning the vice-arch, past-arch, and champion of champions, and also Sister Slater on winning the P.A. and being runner-up for the champion of champions and V.A. charges held by the Royal Arch Chapter. The lodge then adjourned, and a social and dance followed. Songs were rendered by several sisters and brothers of the lodge, and Bro. Cough of the Bay Lodge, and Sister Johnston won the lucky spot, and Sister Patterson and Bro. Patterson won the Monte Carlo. The music was supplied by Bro. J. Connor's dance band.

Linden Lodge No. 5 met in the Oddfellows' Hall, Roslyn, last Tuesday, when A.D. Bro. Tyrrell took the chair. There was a fair attendance of members. D.P. Bro. Dumble, No. 2 district, and P.A. Bro. Clarke, judges for the efficiency competition, were in attendance for the purpose of judging the lodge in its work. Bro. T. Jenkins furnished a full report on the cricket activities and the purchase of material for the forthcoming season. An invitation from Royal Oak Lodge was received. Mr Bridges, jun., was initiated into the Order. It was decided to i6sue invitations to West Harbour and All Nations Lodges to attend next lodge night to take part in a euchre tournament. The lodge closed with harmony. A.D. Bro. W. Reid presided over a splendid muster of members on Wednesday evening. A feature of the evening was the initiation of three new members. Members from Myrtle Lodge and Olive Branch were admitted and welcomed by the A.D. The nomination and election of officers- took place. Bro. Jenkins, V.P. of the Juvenile Council, was welcomed with musical honours, and with the assistance of P.A. Bro. J. Curtis, jun., installing officer, proceeded to install the new officers. The lodge was adjourned for the purpose of playing handball. At a meeting of the executive Bro. P. Jenkins resigned from the Juvenile Council, Bro. H. Tyrrell being nominated to fill the vacancy. Bro. T. Jenkins was appointed secretary in place of the late Bro. Reynolds. The fortnightly meeting of Progress Juvenile Lodge was held m the Methodist Church Hall, Wesley street, South Dunedin, last Wednesday, A.D. Bro. Jones presiding over a good attendance of members. Bro. Bezett, assisted by, Bro. Churchill, installed the officers as follow: —P.A., Bro. Jones; A.D., Bro. Walker; V.A., Bro. Norman; 1.G., Bro. Hanvey; 0.G., Bro. Hudson; conductor, Bro. Pinder; A.D. Bards, Bros. Freeman and Paris; V.A. Bards, Bros. Freeman and Murray. The toasts were given, and Bro. Sinclair, of the Juvenile Council, replied to the toast of the visitor. The business being concluded, the lodge closed, and handball was played. The Royal Arch Chapter No. 1 held its meeting on Tuesday last, when R.V. Arch Bro. Rundle presided: over a fair attendance. In presenting to the chapter several packs of playing cards on behalf of I.G. Bro. R. ftforris, Bro. E. Reeves drew the attention of members to the assistance rendered to the chapter by_ the generous donations of lodges and individual members during the present year. During the meeting several matters relating to the ritual nnd the recent competitions were discussed. The chapter was closed at an early hour, and the members then held an enjoyable euchre tournament.

On Monday last the Boyal Arch Chapter attended Otago Lodge for the purpose of concluding the Arch Druid charge competition and presenting the prizes for the series of competitions held in Enterprise, West Harbour, and Lily of the Valley Lodges. The judges, P.G.P. Bro. Walsh and Bro. Wood, declared the winner of the A.D. competition to be Bro. T. Johnston, who also gained first place in the V.A. competition and the aggregate for the three events. Sis. Slater was first in the PA. charge. G.Pres. Bro. MLeod, who was present with his officers, presented to Bro T. Johnston Bro.Leathley's trophy for the A.D. charge, Linden's trophy for the V.A. charge, and the R.A.C. medal for the aggregate, and to Sis. Slater Otagb's trophy for the P.A. charge. Royal A.D. Bro. James Dove, at the conclusion of the presentations, took the opportunity of thanking, on behalf of the chapter, the judges for their services, the competitors who made the competitions the success they were, and the member and lodges for their trophies. The judges, in replying, complimented the competitors for the high standard of elocution and accuracy maintained throughout the competitions, and also gave a very instructional criticism of the rituals. Otago Lodge then entertained the numerous visitors.

A.D. Bro. R. 0. Wilkinson presided over the meeting of Ivanhoe Lodge, held in the old Commercial Travellers' Club, Bowling street, on Wednesday last. Amongst the correspondence were two invitations from sister lodges. The bards reported fully on their visit to sick members, and sick pay and accounts were passed for payment. One new member was proposed to become a financial member of the Order. The lodge was declared adjourned for the purpose of holding a dance. Trcas. Bro. C. H. Wilson and P.A. Bro. T. Anderson acted as M.C's, and Miss Duncan supplied the music
