ST. CLAIR CLUB. Weather conditions were not altogether favourable to good scoring for the annual Labour Day competition for the Otatara Cup CompeHßon, which was played at Corstorphine Links yesterday. Nevertheless, gome eood net scores were returned in the individual round. The winner of the cup was Mr A. Jeavons with a - net score for the two rounds of 138, the runner-up being Mr E. H. M'Arthur, who was three strokes behind the winner with a net 141. The usual Stroke Handicap events on the separate rounds resulted as follows: x
Morning Round.—Senior: F. Drake, 73—4—69; D. C. Bennie, 74—3—71; I. Orr, 80—9 —71. Junior: P. H. Elsom, 86—15—71; E. H. M'Arthur, 95—24—71; R. H. Booth, 92—21—71. Afternoon Round.—Senior: A. G. Forbes, 83—12—71; W. Clayton, 73—scr—--73. Junior:' W. S. Trotter, 82—18— 04; S. G. Cooke, 84—15—69.
ST. CLAIR LADIES' CLUB. A four-ball bogey will be played on the Corstorphine links this afternoon. Players to choose partners and opponents.
