SUNDAY SERVICES

The Rev. D. C. Herron will conduct both services at Knox Church to-morrow. In the evening the subject will be “ Thy Way Is In the Sea,” the first of a series of addresses on “ The Voyage of Life.” At First Church to-morrow the Rev. W. Allen Stevely will preach, in the morning on “ ( A Strange Paradox,” and in the evening on “Are We at the Turn of the Tide? ”, At the evening service Miss Helen Roy will'sing “Cast Thy Burden” l (Mendelssohn). Dr Galway will be at the organ. The evening people’s service at St. Clair Methodist Church will be con l ducted by the Rev. W. H. Greenslade. The Rev. G. E. Brown will take “The Long Road of Short Cuts” as his-even-ing topic at Cargill Road Methodist Church. “ The Fundamentals of Reconstruction ” will be Mr John M'Ewan’s title for to-morrow evening’s lecture in the Theosophieal Hall, Dowling street. At the St. Kilda Methodist Church the Rev. Percy Paris will speak in the morning on “ The Cave Man and Christ,” and in the evening on “ Does God Guide Our Lives?”

First Church of Christ Scientist, Dunedin, will hold services in the Allbell Chambers, Stuart street, at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. The subject,will be “Love.” The morning service at the United Congregational Church, Albany street, will be conducted by the Rev. H. W. Newell, M.A. In the evening, when Mr John Galloway will be the soloist, the Rev. James M. Smeeth will officiate, A church parade of harriers from the various clubs in Dunedin will take place in the Hanover Street Baptist Churqb to-morrow evening, conducted by the Rev. E. S. Tuckwell, who will speak upon “ Self-mastery.” The morning service will also be conducted by the Rev. E. S. Tuckwell. “ India To-day ” will be the subject of the Rev. Herbert Newall’s (of Wellington ) address to-morrow evening at the Moray Place Congregational Church. The choir will render the anthem “0, Holy Ghost.” The morning service will be conducted by the Rev. Albert Mead. A musical service will be held at the Maori Hill Presbyterian Church tomorrow evening. Hymns chosen by a vote of the young people will be sung, and their story: told. - The choir will render Jackson’s “Te Deum,” and Mr W. Paget Gale will play “ Prelude in C Sharp Minor” (Rachmaninoff), “Pastorale in E” (Lemare), and “Sing Unto God” (Handel).

The Rev. H. E. Bellhouse will conduct both . services at Trinity Methodist Church, Stuart street, to-morrow, preaching in the evening on “ Jesus Christ and the World of Pain.” Miss Dorothy Mackay will sing the solo, “ Beside Still Waters,” and the choir will render Sullivan’s “Lost Chord,” Mrs T. O. Coventry acting as soloist. The services this Sunday , will conclude the week’s mission at the Salvation Army Fortress, Dowling street. Mrs Adjutant Tong will give an address at the morning service'and the afternoon meeting is upder the direction of the Bible class members. At night there will be an enrolment of recruits, and the Adjutant will speak on “ Playing a Safe Garnet” * The services at the Methodist Central Mission will be conducted by the Rev. Leslie B. Neale. The Dunedin Friendly Societies.will hold their annual memorial service at the evening service and the singing will be led by the St. Kilda Band. Miss Noni Davidson will be the soloist.
