FINANCIAL AGREEMENT
ENFORCEMENT OF THE ACT COMMONWEALTH v. STATE. MELBOURNE, March 21. Declaring its opposition to the Financial Agreement Enforcement Act, the Tasmanian Government is seeking leave to intervene against the Commonwealth Government, which is resisting the New South Wales application for an injunction to restrain enforcement of this Act against the Lang Administration. The Tasmanian Government has asked the Victorian and other Governments to cooperate, and it is reported that it is likely that the Victorian Government will agree.

It is announced that the Victorian Government has decided to apply to the High Court for leave to intervene in the action New South Wales versus the Commonwealth.
