GERMAN FACTORIES
PLANT SENT TO ENGLAND EFFECT OF BRITISH TARIFF. ' BERLIN, January 15. (Received Jan. 15, at 10 p.m.) Hundreds of English agents are arriving on behalf of municipalities, railways, and estate agents who, are anxious to sell factory sites to German firms, who, under the thrift, find it advisable to transfer their manufacturing plants to Britain. Already there is considerable alarm and indignation in Germany owing to the number of businesses which are transferring at least a portion of their factory plants to England, thus depriving Germans of employment.
