THE CANADIAN LEGION
NIAGARA FALLS CONVENTION RESOLUTION AGAINST WAR. OTTAWA, September 2. At the Canadian Legion Convention at Niagara Falls a resolution was adopted which declared that war should have no place in the civilised world, and supported the disarmament plan of the League of Nations. It stated, however, that-the resolution was not to be taken as approving of disarmament by individual nations, and it was the duty of Canada to maintain adequate armed forces.
A proposal to request the Government to legalise sweepstakes was rejected.
