BISHOP, OF LONDON’S ADDRESS BIRTH CONTROL DISAPPROVED. OTTAWA, September 2. The Right Rev. Wilmington Ingram .(Bishop of London) addressed, the Regina Women’s Canadian Club and Men’s Club to-day. He placed his seal of disapproval on birth control, and counselled Canadians to observe chastity before marriage and hold fast to the sanctity of wedlock. He spoke of the evils of companionate marriages, and referred to the large families of his relations. He suggested that the Canadian Government should erect a monument to the Ingrams for their part in increasing the population of Canada. The bishop'iaid he did not think that youth was galloping towards damnation. He said that the so-called “ necking parties'” made him a little anxious. He feared for youth if young people vulgarised youthful relations.
