THE WEATHER.
(Per United Press Association.} AUCKLAND, February 21. There was a continuation of line weather during the week-end, but today the sky is dull and cloudy, and the wind is freshening from the northeast. The barometer has been falling since Friday night, and now registers 29.80. WELLINGTON, February 22. Both days of the week-end were notable for a heavy northerly. Saturday was sunny, but Sunday overcast, with a light shower in the afternoon. CHRISTCHURCH, February 22. ' There was warm nor’-west weather on Saturday, the maximum temperature being 79.8 deg. To-day was oppressively warm, The barometer dropped to 20.4, and very light rain fell this evening.
