(Per United Press Association.) HAMILTON, February 21. The new Hamilton Courthouse was officially opened to-day by the Minister of Justice (Mr J. G. Cobbe).
CHRISTCHURCH, February 21. Arrested yesterday in an hotel, Herbert Edwin Barnsley, aged 50, described as organiser of the Unemployed Relief Association, was brought before Mr E. D. Mosley, S.M., this morning on a charge of failing to comply with the terms of his release on probation. The breach of the order was that he had failed to make restitution of the sum of £l9 10s. Barnsley pleaded guilty, and was sentenced to three months’ hard labour.
