THE OLD QUEEN’S HOTEL.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —“ L, S. ”in his letter correcting the published statements regarding the Queen’s Hotel seems to have overlooked the fact that Mr Dan White was twice the licensee of this hotel. When Mr Golder went to Mornington, Mr White returned, to the Queen’s and held the license again for many years. After a trip to the West Indies, during which time Mr White’s son was in charge, Mr White returned to Dunedin and subsequently sold out to Mr Crane. Mr Dan Whi,te then took over the Duke of Edinburgh Hotel, ancl when that house lost ite license through reduction he retired into private life.—l am, etc., D. H. H.,
