OTAGO WINS SECOND RACE. AUCKLAND SECURES ITS SECOND VICTORY. > (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, January 26. Otago' won the second race for the Cornwell Cup by 52sec, Lyttelton second, and Wellington third. «. The others' in finishing order were:— Auckland, Tauranga, Hamilton, Whangarei, Manukau. The third race, sailed this afternoon over a windward and leeward course, resulted in a win for' Auckland by 2mlu Isec from Lyttelton, with Wellington third. Auckland went into the lead from the start and .led throughout, sailing an excellent race. The boat went through the water much faster than the others. Lyttelton threw opt a- strong challenge in the first round,, but failed to weather Auckland. The. race was really a procession, Lyttelton holding eecond place, Wellington third, Otago fourth, and Christchurch fifth. The Other ports were never prominent. The finishing times were: — Auckland, 3hr 28min 34'sec ' ... 1 Lyttelton, ohr SOmin 50sec ... .. - Wellington, 3hr 31min 48sec .. .. 3.
