REDUCTION IN ARGENTINA. LOWERING COST OP LIVING. »• {United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) BUENOS AIRES, January 25. , (Received Jan. 26, at 8 p.m.) The Government, in an endeavour to lower the cost of living, has reduced the price of bread from the equivalent of 84 cents to 2 cents per lb in public markets. >. It is announced that the Government Bureau will sell 250,0001 b. a day and make the reduction available to more people. The Government is also advocating a plan to sell all meat through the Government Bureau, allowing the retail butchers a profit of only one cent per lb.
