DEMPSEY IN HOSPITAL
INFECTION OF LEFT HAND. ;; SPREADING TO THE ARM, (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) NEW YORK, January 22. Jack Dempsey entered the Polyclinic Hospital to-day for treatment of an infection of the left hand. A growth out of a small cut on the fourth finger developed after a gymnasium work-out on Monday. The hand . swelled to twice its normal size, and the infection is spreading to the arm.
