WOMEN’S DIVISION, FARMERS’ UNION. (Prom Our Own Correspondent.) TAHATIKA, December 1. The monthly meeting of the Owaka' Valley and Tahatika branch of the women’s division of the Farmers’ Union was held in the Tahatika Hall on Wednesday afternoon, November. 26. Owing to sickness and the inclement weather, ‘the attendance was not as large as usual. The president. (Mrs A, Thomson) presided. A general discussion on matters affecting the branch ensued. Miss E. M‘Nab was appointed press correspondent. Mesdaroes Allen, Capon, Thomson, Syme, and Woodrow were elected to confer with the other branches .of the union regarding the annual picnic. Mrs. Thomson was appointed delegate to the annual conference to be held in January, 1931. A dainty afternoon tea was provided by Mrs Capon and Miss Friend.
