WOMEN MUSICIANS.

OTAGO SOCIETY. The sixth annual meeting of the Society of Women Musicians of Otago was held on Wednesday in the Women’s Club, the' president. Miss Ida G. White, being in the! chair. • The-secretary read the annual report, which was adopted. The president spoke of the first annual meeting held six years ago, reviewing the objects which the society had aimed nt and the work it had accomplished. Miss Barth gave expression to the deep appreciation of the members of the work done and the stimulus given to the society during the past 12 months by the president. The election of officers for the ensuing year took place with the following results President, Miss Ida G. White; vice-presidents—Mrs H. C. Campbell, Miss Meda Paine, Miss E. Logic; committee—Miss Barth, Mrs Raynor Bell, Miss M. Eraser, Miss J. Jones, Miss M. Martin, Miss G. Logan, Miss M. Vickers, Miss E. Yorston. v The position of secretary has been filled by Miss Irene Barth for five years of the society’s existence, but she now desires to be released from office. So far no appointment has been made. Miss White expressed the gratitude and appreciation of the members for all that Miss Barth has done for the .society, and on behalf of the members presented-Miss Barth with a book. Vocal solos were rendered by Mrs Hamer and Miss Teviotdale, and two highly amusing and interesting competitions were engaged in.
