THE AMERICAN FIRES
DISASTROUS NEW OUTBREAKS. TWO VILLAGES DESTROYED. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) NEW YORK, May 5. While weary crews are still fighting the fires in nine States rumours are circulating that the New Jersey pine forests are being swept by 22 disastrous new fires from scattered embers of yesterday’s conflagrations. Two villages have been destroyed' and , two towns menaced. Many men have been injured while fighting the flames. The weather conditions continue particularly bad in the burning areas.'
