RETURNED SOLDIERS
INDIGNATION IN AUSTRALIA. ABOLITION OF PREFERENCE. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) SYDNEY, May 6. A political crisis is looming in the Federal arena over the Scullin Ministry’s action in abolishing preference to returned soldiers, whose leagues in all the States are • extremely indignant, and have expressed their intention of forcing a crisis in the Senate, where the Governmeht’s supporters are heavily outnumbered. The Ministry is also bitterly attacked, by the Australian Country Party for its alleged anti-British attitude on migration and tariffs, and the attempt to have an Australian appointed GovernorGeneral.
