OBITUARY.
MR A. H. ABERNETHY. Mr A. IT. Abernethy, who met his death in 'Wanganui on Monday night when he crashed into a bank on Durie Hill as he was cycling,to the Technical College, was a son of Mr James Abernethy, who, until a few years ago, was a resident of Dunedin. The deceased was educated at the Otago Boys’ High School and graduated at Otago University. He taught in the primary schools, and then was. appointed to the staff of the Napier Technical College. He took his M.A. degree in 1919, and also secured the degrees.of Bachelor of Commerce, A.1.A.N.Z., and F.R.E.S. Ho went to Wanganui Technical College in 1923 as director of the institution, and was a highly efficient teacher, held in great esteem by the staff, pupils, and the general public. He Iqaves a widow and two young children.
