SIR ALFRED FRIPP. SURGEON TO THE KING. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, February 26. Tlie death is announced of Sir Alfred Fripp.
Sir Alfred Downing Fripp was Surgeon in Ordinary to the King and to the Duke of Connaught. He was late senior surgeon of Guy’s Hospital and late Surgeon in Ordinary to King Edward VII. He was consulting surgeon to the Royal Navy, and surgeon to the Hospital for Children and Women. He was Go vears of age. MR JUSTICE CHUBB. BRISBANE, February 27. The death is announced of Mr Justice Chubb, formerly of the Supreme Court Judiciary; aged 84. EX-SHAH OF PERSIA. PARIS, February 27. (Received Feb. 28, at 10 p.m.) The death is announced of Sultan Ahmed Mirza, the ex-sbah of Persia, who was deposed in 1926 and subsequently became interested in the production of scent.
