LURE OF THE ATLANTIC
ATTEMPT IN SOUTHERN CROSS. NO DEFINITE DATE YET. .’(United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph— Copyright.'' SYDNEY, February 28. Squadron-Leader Kingsford-Smitb intends to attempt an Atlantic crossing from west to east in the Southern Cross. The attempt will be made some time within the nest five months. SquadronLeader Kingsford-Smitb will leave for the United States on March 15. Ulm, Litchfield, and M*William will complete the crew. The Southern Cross is at present in Amsterdam at the Fokkeir works, where it has undergone a complete overhaul.
