TRANSPORT IN SYDNEY
CO-ORDINATION OF SERVICES. BUS PROPRIETORS PERTURBED. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) - SYDNEY, February 28. (Received Feb. 28, at 9 p.m.) The Legislative Assembly Transport Bill, the main object of which is to coordinate the tram and bua services in the metropolitan area to overcome cut throat competition, passed its second reading. , The omnibus proprietors' are much' perturbed over the Government’s intentions and fear that the existing bus services will he serevely curtailed, causing them heavy loss. A climax same to-day when the bus proprietors made the State Government what is tantamount to a firm offer for the trams, lock stock and barrel, the price to be fixed by arbitration and upon such terms as will protect the public from exploitation.
