HORSE-POWER TAX ON CARS. • A REDUCTION FORECASTED. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, February 24. (Received Feb. 25, at 1 a.m.) Lobby correspondents confidently forecast a reduction of the motor car horsey power tax in the Budget on April I4f It is expected to be 10a instead of £l. The horse-power revenue will be maintained by the added duty on petrol. The reduction has for long been urged by motor manufacturers, who declare that the tax has hampered British sales in the 'dominions.
