CANADA'S TRADE

Canada’s . trade with the Orient is growing amazingly, the exports for the year ended September being £6,000,000, which is double that of any previous year. The exports to Japan exceeded fd,000,000, which represents a 20 per cent, gain. Australia and New Zealand in volume are almost on the same level as purchasers from Canada. The exports to Australia are £4,000,000, being an increase of 30 per cent.', and the sales to New Zealand amount to £3,600,000, being an increase of 50 per cent. Imports from Australia 1 decreased by £200,000, while purchases from New Zealand increased by 50 per cent, the total beL.g £2,600.000.
