Presbytery to-day • resolved, to support the assembly’s Public Questions Committee on th„ subject of conscientious objectors to .military training, urging that there should be no discrimination between -■ the different denominations. and expressing the opinion that the compulsory; clauses of the Act should be repealed. Another resolution read as follows: The Presbytery deplores, the proposals to increase the facilities for gambling fontained-in the proposed amendments to the Gamin„ Act- by- which racing dividends may be published and the telegraph services thrown open for tb. transmission of bets. -It strongly urges members of Parliament to reject the proposals as tending to increase- the growing evil of gambling. ’. • ■ , V
