GISBORNE-AUCKLAND TRADE.
PURCHASE OF CARGO VESSEL. (Special io Daily Times.) AUCKLAND, May 3. The four-masted auxiliary vessel Margaret W. has been 'sold to the Gisborne Shecpfamers’ Company, and will be taker over by her new owners to-morrow The,, vessel is to be employed in the Gisborne-Auckland cargo service, and wi'l replace the company,; auxiliary schooner Elsie Mary, which foundered in the Bay of Plenty, near the Alderman Islands, on March 18. The Margaret W. is a else, vessel of 394 ton'* end was built at Svenborg, Denmark, in 1919. Her former name was Margot. She wae bought in 1926 by Captain A. F. Watcalin. who brought her to New Zealand, and as master and owner 'he has employed the vessel in the intercolonial cargo service. In February last the Margaret W. underwent an extensive refitting, and was converted from an auxiliary schooner into a motor vessel.
