William Sutton, a West Cheshire artisan, by defeating Cyril Tolley In a match plfiyed in a snowstorm at Newcastle-on Tyne, reached the final of the English amateur championship.—Australian Press Association. The championship referred to in the above cable is not to be confused with tho British amateur championship, in which the play will begin on May 27.
