RIOTS ON MAY DAY
INSTRUCTIONS FROM MOSCOW. BLOODSHED IN THE STREETS. (United Press Association.! {By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, April 29. (Received April 20, at 9 p.m.) The Continental police have discovered instructions from Moscow ordering Com munist dots and bloodshed in the streets on May Day. Scotland Yard learns that German headquarters have ordered London Communists to spare no pains to create disturbances. Two Communists of international reputation have been refused admission to Britain. The Socialist chief of police at Berlin has issued a manifesto forbidding openair demonstrations, and advising the citizens, especially women and children, not. to remain in the streets. He instances Moscow’s order, “ Where demonstrations are forbidden Communists must to the utmost defy the prohibition.” German Communists declare that there will be serious disturbances throughout Europe, and a number will be killed. France is prohibiting street processions in Paris, and is expelling foreigners found participating in demonstrations. Troops from the Paris garrison and from the provinces will reinforce the police. Seven Anarchists and several Communists found distributing revolutionary propaganda already have been arrested.— United Service. PRECAUTIONS IN WARSAW. SPECIAL RESERVES MOBILISED. WARSAW, April 29. (Received April 29, at 9 p.m.) Tlfe authorities are permitting street meetings and processions, but are taking elaborate precautions to prevent rioting and bloodshed. The entire Police Fore? and 2000 special reserves will be mobilised to prevent trouble between the Socialists and the Communists.—Australian Press Association. ARRESTS IN BERLIN. DEMONSTRATIONS OP PROTEST. BERLIN, April 29. (Received April 20, at 9 p.m.) The police fired blank cartridges and arrested 50 in the course of a series of demonstrations of protest.—Australian Press Association.
