TWO HOUSES DESTROYED. (Feb United Pkess Association.) WELLINGTON, January 27. A house at Hikimutu, Taumarunui, owned and occupied by L. Hourigan, was destroyed yesterday while .the occupants were haymaking. Insurances: House, £600; furniture, £150; washhouse, £3O. Early this morning a four-roomed cottage, owned and occupied by C. A fire early this morning gutted a house in Theodocia street, occupied by Mr George Wade, the inmates having to make a hurried escape in scanty attire.
