BRITAIN’S UNEMPLOYED
“A CURSE AND A DANGER.”
MOTOR CAR MAKER’S VIEWS.
(Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, December 26.
" The number of unemployed in Britain is a curse and a danger,” said Mr Morris, the car maker, in a speech to his staff at Coventry. He said that he was convinced that if manufacturers were protected the demand for labour would exceed the supply. Britain, with the best working conditions in the world, had 1,250,000 unemployed.—A. and N.Z. and Sydney Sun Cable.
