DUNEDIN JOCKEY CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual report which will bo presented at the annual meeting of the Dunedin Jockey Club on Tuesday evening next states that the results of the club’s operations during the year are satisfactory. The profit and loss account shows a credit of £3OO I9s 2d after writing off £1357 3s 4d for depreciation on the buildings, and increasing the stakes for the Summer and Autumn Meetings by £1975. The totalisntor investments show an increase of £22,096 10s, and there has been an Increase of -10 in the membership, which now stands at 4-10. The Committee recommends that Messrs Janies Gow, Peter Miller, and Septimus S. Myers, who have for many years rendered valuable service to the club, be elected honorary life members. In accordance with the rules, the following have been proposed for office:—President, Mr A. C. Hanlon; vice-president, Mr L. C. Hazlett; committee—Messrs W. J. Goughian, A. H. Fisher, G. A. Kain, J. Lindsay, W. Quirk, and J. Smith. As there are six nominations, and only four places to fill, a ballot will bo taken.
