THE DAILY ROUND.

BUSY SIGHTSEEING CROWDS. INDOORS AND OUT. KEEN INTEREST MAINTAINED. Saturday was a holiday for thousands who streamed towards Logan Park from the time the main gates opened in the morning, and fine weather favoured a busy, bustling Exhibition day. In the afternoon clouds threatened rain, hut the bainl played outdoors and the weather remained pleasant and mild. The afternoon found the Amusements Park as busy as only Saturday can make it. and, from the childrens playground, where the tiny tots revelled in the dry sand, to the Whip, roaring on its ceaseless round at the entrance of the big area, all was life and merriment. “Chocolate Alley” attracted the gambling spirits, and skill, closely allied to the Goddess of Chance, placed enormous boxes into the hands of the lucky minority. There was a generous sprinkling of British Tars in the evening crowds; the men from the visiting warships enjoying every minute of their stay at the mammoth show. In the pavilions the prowds moved from court to court until closing hour, and the stallholders were kept busy. The band of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders played in the Grand Court beth in the afternoon and in the evening, the evening concert being given under the baton of Mr F. J. Ricketts. The Exhibition Orchestra played in the British Pavilion. , . , It is worthy of note that from to-day seme of the Amusements Park devices will be available to visitors at reduced prices. Half fares will rule on the big Scenjc Railway, the Caterpillar, and the Merry Mix-up.
