COMMON GAMING-HOUSE.
CHINESE OFFENDER FINED. (Pkb United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, September 12. Charged with keeping a common gaminghouse a Chinamau named Ix>n Sai Hoy pleaded guilty at the Magistrate's Court this morning. Counsel for accused that the man waa in delicate health and unable to pay a heavy fil Tho Magistrate (Mr Riddell): “Very weU, I will fine him £4O, in default six weeks imprisonment. He is liable under the Gaming Act to a fine of £IOO, or three months’ imprisonment.” Four white men found on the premises wore each fined £2.
