PREVENTION OF STALLING. DEVICE TO WARN PILOTS. Pres* Anoociation— By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, August 3. (Received August 4, at 5.5 p.m.) The Air Ministry is examining the Savage-Brampton indicator, an invention resembling a balanced vane, which is attached to the struts. It is designed to obviate stalling, which is the most dangerous feature of modem flying. When stalling speed is approached the vane automatically warns the pilot to adjust the joystick.—A. and N.Z.
