(Received July 13, at 10 p.m.) Rain is falling with cyclonic intensity over the whole oi North Gippsland, and the Xambo, iViitchell, and Snowy Rivers have broken their hanks, inundating miles of country. The town of Orbost is isolated, but the residents were warned by wireless of the approach of the flood water’s and they removed from the low-lying districts. The railway services are disorganised. So far no casualties have been reported, although there were many thrilling rescues. A fishing party consisting of three men left Lakes 'Entrance for Mollacoota, in a ketch and has not been heard of since.
