The conference of the British Commonwealth League of Women, at which women’s organisations in the overseas dominions arc well represented, discussed the inequalities of the marriage laws of the dominions, and adopted a resolution demanding that the dominions should legislate along the lines of the resolution adopted by the House of Commons, enabling British women to make declarations in the case of marriages with aliens; also protesting against the loss of status of women from other parts of the Commonwealth ou entering Soutn Africa and the Province of Quebec, and calling on the Governments of these countries to grant woman suffrage.
