PLAYERS v. GENTLEMEN. WIN FOR THE LATTER. Preu Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, July 11. (Received July 12, at 5.5 p.m.) In the match between the Players and the Gentlemen the latter made 468 runs in their first innings (Allen 130). Tate took seven wickets for 148 runs. The Players, who declared their first innings closed with eight wickets down for 403 runs, declared their second innings closed with seven wickets down for 252 runs (Hobbs 51 and Heame 65 not out). The Gentlemen made 200 runs for six wickets in their second innings (Haig 51 not out). The Gentlemen thus won by four, wickets. —A. and N.Z. Cable.
