(Governor of the Bank of England) and Mr Benjamin Strong ' (Governor of the Federal Bank, New York) have arrived and have reported for the purpose of negotiating with the President-of the Reichsbank credits to assist German trade and industries, which are at present crippled for want of capital.—A. and N.Z. Cable. COAL INDUSTRY DEPRESSED. RESTRICTION ON IMPORTS. BERLIN, July 11. (Received July 12, at 5.5 p.m.) The German coal commissioner denies the London story that the importation of British coal is prohibited. He states that there is merely a restriction on imports owing to a depression in the German coal industry.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
