FIRE IN MELBOURNE
BOOT FACTORY DESTROYED. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. MELBOURNE, July 12. (Received July 12, at 5.5 p.m.) , Payne’s boot factory at Colling wood has been destroyed by fire. The damage is estimated at £30,000. The blaze _ was accompanied by a series of loud explosions, which were caused by petrol stored in the premises for finishing purposes.
